The Pakistan U19 women’s cricket team is set to begin its journey in the inaugural ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup with a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals India on Sunday at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval, Malaysia.

This 6 team tournament follows a T20 format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super-Four stage. Matches for the Super-Four stage are scheduled for 19 and 20 December, and the final will take place on 22 December.

The tournament also includes additional matches to decide the fifth/sixth and third/fourth positions, scheduled for 18 and 22 December, respectively.

Pakistan Preparations and Squad

The Pakistan U19 team, led by skipper Zoofishan Ayyaz, has been preparing diligently. The team held a five-day training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi before departing for Malaysia.

Reflecting on the preparations, Zoofishan Ayyaz said, “We had good training sessions before our arrival here in Malaysia, and the players are looking forward to performing well in the tournament. We will take one game at a time, and the players are fully focused on showcasing their talent.”

Pakistan is placed in Group A alongside India and Nepal, while Group B features Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.
